Well hello fellow Boss Woman! I’m Alyssa and I am the owner of a Khaviar Beauty. When I’m not running Khaviar, I love to go out into nature. My favorite being hiking, camping, and of course being anywhere near the water! I enjoy fitness, yoga, and dance such as hula hooping!
Throughout my life I have dealt with insecurities and low self esteem, but it wasn’t until my early 20's that I realized I was not alone. As I spoke to friends and other women, I came to realize that these feelings are more common than we think. But no one wants to talk about it. So instead of building women up, it’s become the best kept “secret”. I knew that had to change.
I wanted to make women feel beautiful and confident, but most importantly, I wanted to help women. I understand how is feels to not feel good enough, or like you always have something to improve on, especially with today's pressure of social media. I wanted to help women who felt as I did and bring their inner beauty to the surface and make them shine brighter than a diamond. The world can be a harsh place, and I wanted to create an atmosphere where women can let go of their insecurities and pamper themselves with self love. Because, women certainly deserve it.

My pivotal moment was when I was getting my hair done at a salon owned by an inspiring woman. She helped women achieve their hair dreams as they had lost it through illness, and disorders such as alopecia. I will never forget the moment when she gave a 16 year old girl [who had lost her hair due to chemo treatments] her lousious locks back and the tears of joy and gratitude that followed. I knew at that moment, I wanted to be a part of that. A part of giving women back their self confidence so they can take on the world with their head held high and focus on the great things women have the privilege of doing.
From there I moved to Kelowna BC and completed the Hairstylist Diploma at MC Collage. Shortly after I found my Love for lashes and nails. Aside from hair, this was the scariest venture I would begin as these opened the doors for me to start my own business dedicated to helping other women enhance thier already beautiful featurs, but it would also the best. Unlike working in a salon under someone else, helping build THEIR dream, I could finally put my vision to fruition. And behold, Khaviar Beauty was born!
